Top End Native Plant Society
The Top End Native Plant Society is group of people who share a common interest in learning about and growing native plants in the Top End of the Northern Territory, Australia.
Meetings and Field Trips
We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm for a speaker at 8:30 pm. The venue is Marrara Christian College, on the corner of Amy Johnson Avenue and McMillans Road. The school entrance is at the very top of Amy Johnson Avenue. Keep going on the school road, past the playing fields and following the road round to the right until you get to a small car park, where you will see the meeting room on the right. All welcome. Bring plants to swap, sell or have identified.

Tim West
Local Horticulturalist Tim West (Environmental Development Officer with the NT Horticultural Association) will give a short presentation on provenancing and how it should guide revegetation plantings in our natural landscapes. Tim will also facilitate discussion on how rural/residential native plantings could utilize provenancing as a means to enhancing the ecological integrity of these plantings. This talk is primarily aimed at awareness raising and encouraging better understanding and management of our natural vegetation resource.
