MEETING:  THE ARTIST AS AN OBSERVER OF NATURE
Join us this Thursday 20 August 2026 at 6.30 for 7pm at Knuckey Lagoon Recreation Reserve (see map).

We are extremely privileged to welcome esteemed and award-winning artist and naturalist Alison Worsnop for a specialpresentation and discussion.So come for tea, coffee and a treat at 6.30 pm, with a 7.00 pmpresentation start. As Alison invites us to “take a closer look” at acouple of her award-winning artworks featuring Top End nativeplants from her wetland/woodland block in Humpty Doo. An artistand naturalist, Alison brings together two worlds, the carefulobservation of nature and the creative expression of art, offeringus a unique bridge of insight and perception into the landscapearound us. “Join in a discussion about my artistic methods, smalldiscoveries and larger questions.” Alison Worsnop.

Field Trip: GREENANT CREEK, DORAT ROAD – Saturday 19 September

 Russell Dempster will lead a walk at Greenant Creek off Dorat Road south of Adelaide River township. The walk is about 2km one way to a spring fed jungle at the base of an escarpment, passing a World War II camp along the way. It’s approximately 15 km south of the Daly River Road turn off. TENPS has previously had walks there, most recently in December 2021 and April 2022.

We will meet at the Bendigo Bank, Coolalinga at 8:00 am on Saturday September 19 for carpooling. Alternatively, at 9:30 at the Adelaide River Show Society Park on the left hand side of Dorat Road soon after crossing the railway line. Bring a hat, water, sunscreen, lunch and walking shoes.
